Manchester United Research

 1902-1903 This is the first kit Manchester United ever worn all the way back in 1902. You can tell it’s old because there is no emblem or sponsor on the shirt. The design of the kit is very simple. 

1970-1971 - From 1902  to 1970 the kit has not really changed. The buttons have been lost and a collar formed. The shirt cuffs have changed from red to white and shorts have become smaller.   

1980-1981- The 80’s brought brand new designs puffy white collars, stripy shirts and shorts, sponsors and even the Manchester United emblem. This started a whole new era for kits.    
















1990-1991 -In 1990 the kit only changed slightly. The collar was lost, there were two sponsors instead of one (sharp and adidas). The emblem was removed from the shorts and more colours were added. 

2000-2002 - A few more changes were added to the kit in 2000. Two new sponsors vodafone, umbro, the emblem was put back on the kit shorts and all the stripes were removed. 

2010-2011 - The kit for 2012 is fresh and new. Two new sponsors Aon, Nikes shorts, sleves and a small collar. The kit changes every season to produce lots of money.
